As you can imagine, we’re hoarders when it comes to beauty products and, let’s be honest, a little bit fickle at times – as new products come to market we love to try them, but the old ones get dumped!
So we were delighted to find a very worthy cause for our unwanted new and part-used cosmetics and skincare products…
Give and Make Up is an organisation run by dedicated volunteers with the aim of getting everyday essentials to women and children who need them most. Products are collected and distributed throughout the UK by domestic violence support charities Refuge and Women’s Aid – getting products that we take for granted and luxuries that we often indulge in to those who really need them.
The everyday essentials – shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes and baby products are always in demand and products that are often deemed unnecessary, such as lipstick, eyeshadow and perfume can bring a little happiness and a much-needed boost to confidence.
Give and Makeup is a non-profit initiative and does not ask for monetary donations – volunteers manage the collections of products, so it is your products that provide the help!
At beautyreviews we have decided that all our unwanted products will be donated to Give and Make Up and our first package is ready to be sent.
We hope all beauty addicts with products to spare will also choose to donate their unwanted items to this very worthy cause.
