Nuxe Crème Fraîche de Beauté 24H Soothing & Moisturizing Cream

Nuxe always bring high-quality indulgent products and this 24 hour moisturising cream is no different – we tried the Normal Sensitive Crème Fraîche de Beauté. The thick cream is actually quite light on application, absorbing easily into skin – a little does go a long way though, so no need to slather it on wildly despite it’s delicious orange blossom scent 😉 Crème Fraîche de Beauté leaves skin feeling wonderfully smooth and hydrated and is suitable for day and night, though some testers have found it a little too much to use for both – being a 24 hour moisturiser you may want to choose an alternative day cream. It is very comfortable on the skin, and after 2-3 weeks of use this cream visibly helped even out skin tone and reduce redness, though it’s best result was the smoothing aspect. At £17 for a 30ml tube, £25 for a 50ml jar this is an excellent value cream – we’d recommend the jar, getting the last bit out of the tube was a bit difficult! Available from: Nuxe Escentual Pin...

Raisin Face Skin Fix Concentrate

It’s always so much fun to find out about not only a product you haven’t heard of but also a brand. We were introduced to Raisin Face by owner Tracy – her passion for the product is contagious and we got very excited when our pot of Skin Fix arrived! Packaging is simple and straightforward, but the careful balance of quality and effective ingredients really stands out. On first use we weren’t sure we were going to enjoy the product, but we soon learned we were putting far too much on!!  The cream is thick and rich – all you really need is a small amount, warmed slightly in the hand to ease application, for your whole face. The ingredients list starts with Aloe Vera, known for it’s soothing and moisturising qualities, and then Emu Oil… this is the first product we’d tried with Emu Oil, which helps other vitamins and nutrients to penetrate deep into the skin.  Raisin Face Skin Fix Concentrate has 18% Emu Oil – very high quantities compared to similar products.  In addition, the cream contains anti-aging ingredients, and shea butter, jojoba oil and green tea extract. After almost two weeks’ use, we have found such an improvement to skin tone and a noticeable ‘plumped’ look to skin… “Even better have been the comments of how nice skin looks and how healthy I look.” says Beauty Reviews editor Lisa. Even those with sensitive skin who usually steer clear of anti-aging creams have found benefits, this is a good anti-aging product to try if you usually break-out or suffer redness when using other creams (do try...
ibeba Mega Bright DNA Repair Cream

ibeba Mega Bright DNA Repair Cream

Having enjoyed the DNA Repair Cell Serum from ibeba, with great results, we were keen to start using the Mega Bright cream. We weren’t disappointed! Mega Bright DNA Repair Cream is aimed at those looking to balance their skin tone, especially those with dark spots or pigmentation, to give improved luminosity to the complexion. The cream is light and silky, smells lovely, and absorbs very well – it can be used as a treatment under your moisturiser, or as a light moisturiser itself. Within days all our testers found improved skin tone – skin was less blotchy, red patches were reduced and skin was left feeling soft and supple.  After a couple of weeks the results were even more noticeable. One of our testers has sun spots, and while she did not necessarily notice any fading, the results of her skin being balanced and looking healthier made her sun spots less obvious. If skin tone is a concern, this is a great product to add into your skincare routine – it does not interfere with existing products you’re using, but you will see results.  For those with oily, or even normal skin, this cream is great as a moisturiser too. For extra skin renewal results use with the ibeba DNA Repair Cell Serum. Available from ibeba Pin...
Vichy Idealia Smoothing & Illuminating Cream (Day Cream)

Vichy Idealia Smoothing & Illuminating Cream (Day Cream)

We received Vichy’s Idealia Day Cream in our September Glossy Box, it’s a brand we’ve heard much about but were yet to try. Created for normal to combination skin types, the cream is supposedly suitable for sensitive skin to, but one of our testers found this aggravated her sensitive skin and caused some redness, so please do a patch test if you suffer any type of skin sensitivity. Our other testers found the cream very good, all noticing an improvement in skin texture – skin appeared smoother and healthier – and most said they would buy it in place of their current day cream. It’s not the cheapest of brands, but it is reasonably good value, especially if you can find it on offer (as I write Escentual have 50ml for £18.70). Definitely worth trying if you’re looking to improve skin texture. Available from: Boots Escentual Pin...
