Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Conditioner

Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Conditioner

Mixed reviews on this one… some of our testers love it, finding it leaves hair soft, shiny and healthy-looking.  For others, especially those with extremely dry or colour-damaged hair, they found it did not provide enough nourishment for their hair, though it did make it more manageable. Rich in argan oil, keratin and fatty acids we thought this conditioner would offer better results for badly damaged hair, so we were a little disappointed, however, this is a good conditioner for those with hair in good condition to maintain and help prevent breakage. When combined with the Moisture Repair Shampoo results are much better, though some users who are prone to greasy roots found they had to wash their hair more often as hair would appear greasier quicker. L’Oreal Elvive Smooth-Intense Anti-Frizz Shampoo

L’Oreal Elvive Smooth-Intense Anti-Frizz Shampoo

A rich shampoo for those with very dry, damaged or coarse hair. It moisturises well and even while washing hair feels supple and strong, only if hair is very dirty will you need  second wash. We found this best for those with very damaged or dry hair, especially those who use straightener or heat stylers a lot.  If you only have slightly dry hair, or fly-away hair, you’ll find this much to rich. Good value, often on offer in supermarkets. Available from: Boots Sainsbury’s Superdrug Pin...
Elemis Aromazing Shampoo

Elemis Aromazing Shampoo

This shampoo has a lovely fresh clean scent to it which wooed us immediately!  At £12.50 a bottle though we put our sensible head back on! Overall we really like this shampoo, it cleanses extremely well, though we did find we needed a second wash on greasier/dirtier hair – if you wash your hair daily you’ll probably just need one wash.  The first wash doesn’t always lather up that well, but the second will. It leaves hair feeling clean and nicely scented, but it does not moisturise very well – you will need a conditioner – however the performance of our conditioners seemed to be improved when using this, something we hadn’t considered noting when reviewing shampoos before. We have heard some reports of problems on sensitive scalps, although we did not find this in our testing we would recommend a patch test for those with senstive skin. If the price tag doesn’t put you off this is a great shampoo to use. Wednesday’s Haircare

Was up late this morning so it really was a quick hair wash and out the door… Pantene’s Breakage Defence Shampoo – I’ve only just started using this (bargain from Wilkinson’s!), so I’ve yet to decide whether it’s good or not, I think it makes my hair greasier quicker though, so yet to be convinced. John Frieda’s Go Blonder Conditioner – this I’ve been using a while and I really like 🙂  A review to follow soon, I promise! Then it was blow-dry and a quick straighten with my beloved ghds! Pin...
