Holiday Time! Packing Frenzy!
Off on my hols in a couple of days… two weeks this time, which means a lot of considered packing! My first thoughts are what’s going in my make-up bag… so what have I got?! First and foremost it’s travel sizes wherever possible – hoping that the travel sizes are generous to enough to not consider taking two of everything or ditching them entirely for full sizes… Having recently become an Arbonne consultant, I was delighted to find a travel set of their RE9 skincare range, I was even more delighted when it arrived to see how much they managed to cram in to the cute little gold bag 🙂 It’s got pretty much everything: Smoothing Facial Cleanser 30ml Regenerating Toner 18ml Corrective Eye Creme 5ml Intensive Renewal Serum 8ml Restorative Day Creme SPF20 8ml Extra Moisture Restorative Day Creme SPF20 8ml Night Repair Creme 7ml Age-Defying Neck Cream 14ml Instant Lift Gel 8ml Nourishing Body Wash 60ml Firming Body Creme 58ml Pretty good, huh?! This set was £37 with a £90 spend, so you do have to order a bit to get such a great set, but if you’re using Arbonne products already this is definitely a set to go for. So skincare and a bit of bodycare is sorted… make-up next! Still some Arbonne for Tinted Moisturiser, Concealer and Mineral Powder Foundation – great bases that all work together. I will probably take my Makeup Primer too, but all these are full sizes, so that may have to stay behind (ok, it won’t, I’ll find space in a shoe or something!). Eyeshadow-wise it’ll be my Smashbox Smokebox...Arbonne RE9 Advanced Corrective Eye Creme
Well, what can we say? We love this eye cream! It’s a light lotion and it absorbs easily into the skin without the need to pat or drag or rub it in. At £44 for 15ml it seems a lot to spend, but you only need a tiny amount – we think you’ll find this lasts a lot longer than other brand’s 10ml or 15ml pots and tubes. A recent bottle lasted 4 months using twice a day. Within a week we noticed results, especially on dark circles, and the area around the eye was smoother and brighter. Botanical ingredients, such as marine lavender, algae extract and alfalfa seed extract are obviously making a difference here compared to other brands. We love it and we think you’ll see a difference – give it a try! A winning product at the 2012 Natural Health Magazine Awards – fully deserved we say! The Illuminating Eye System has two steps: a rich under-eye cream and a moussey shimmer brightener to apply on top.
Nivea Visage Q10 Plus Eye Cream
We had mixed reports on this one… some found it to be exactly what they needed, especially for visibly reducing wrinkles (as it says on the box), but others felt it didn’t do enough, some found no change at all. Overall, testers agreed that the texture was good and the cream absorbs well into the skin. It was also noted that the cream felt protective, yet not clogging. Recommended for ages 35+.
