Valentino Valentina Eau de Parfum

Valentino’s Valentina fragrance really stood out for me recently in the tax free shopping area… I usually mooch around getting nosefulls of overly-synthetic scents and get a bit grumpy and frustrated when everything starts to smell the same…Ā I know it’s tricky standing in a room full of scents, but this one got me straightaway, so I spritzed and wandered sniffing my arm for most of the afternoon! It is a sweet fruity floral initially which settles into a warm sophisticated scent… it has a bold yet feminine fragrance which lingers wonderfully throughout the day without losing its character. This is definitely one for me, I love fruity florals which have an oriental edge. The packaging I like, the bottle is elegant and clean, though the flower embellishments don’t really wow me, I might ditch those šŸ˜‰ One worth adding to the Wish List. Mary Greenwell LEMON Eau de Parfum

Mary Greenwell LEMON Eau de Parfum

We first came across Mary Greenwell’s new fragrance from a sample included in one of our Glossybox boxes… Initially the zingy lemon and citrus scent is lovely and we all loved it, but we had mixed views of the fragrance as a whole – something after the hit of lemon in the green or woody notes made some of us unsure about wearing it. If you love citrus, and especially chypre fragrances, this is definitely worth sampling. LEMON will be available from the end of January 2013 – visitĀ www.marygreenwell.comĀ for more information about Mary Greenwell fragrances.   Pin...
Lady Gaga Fame Black Fluid Eau de Parfum

Lady Gaga Fame Black Fluid Eau de Parfum

We were treated to a sample of this in our September Glossybox. Our first thought was ‘not another celeb fragrance’ and wrinkled noses all round with disappointment. BUT…… We like it! Ā It’s not really got a wow factor as such, but it’s a very pleasant floral fragrance that’ll see you from day to night. Some of the blurb is a bit OTT… “tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of Tiger Orchidea, pulverised Apricot” … you get the picture! The florals are very noticeable and the apricot comes through too… there’s a delicate sweet spice edge to it too. The bottle is striking in black and gold, very glam for the dressing table. Overall, it’s one we’d happily wear, but not one we’d hanker for. Available from: Amazon Boots Escentual Pin...
