John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Conditioner

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Conditioner

This really is a lovely conditioner for fine hair as it doesn’t weigh it down at all… it leaves hair feeling soft and full and does give extra volume, especially when used with it’s matching shampoo. With continued use hair is left in much better condition, fullness but also manageability is evident – our only criticism of this is that it doesn’t hold structured styles as well as other conditioners. If you like a natural style, or want to give your hair a break from over-use of styling products this is a great choice. Available from: Boots Superdrug Pin...
PurelyArgan Hair Conditioner

PurelyArgan Hair Conditioner

Argan oil is an extremely popular ingredient for hair care at the moment, with many brands concentrating on specific ranges to include it. PurelyArgan concentrate on the oil itself, offering 2 products – the oil and a hair conditioner – at first we wondered what would be different with PurelyArgan compared to the other popular products, especially the heavily-marketed Moroccanoil. We were in for a treat 🙂 We’ve been very impressed with PurelyArgan’s conditioner – a rich yet lightweight consistency that is easily absorbed onto the hair without any stickiness. Admittedly it does have an odd scent – sort of soapy, and if we were choosing just on scent the Moroccanoil is slightly more favourable.  But scent wears off – it’s not *that* important against all the other necessities of a conditioner! What we liked best of all about PurelyArgan was the ease with with hair could be styled and how it held its style.  We also found that we weren’t washing our hair as often, we could get away with an extra day if we needed to – this is in complete contrast to the Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Conditioner which had most of us washing our hair more often. Flyaway hair wasn’t weighed down at all, in fact it seemed much more under control – hair was still flyaway, perhaps a bit fluffy, but hair looked shinier, healthier and more natural. After just one application, styling and a healthy look were obvious.  After a couple of weeks hair appears to be stronger with less breakage, even on hair that is subject to a lot of heat styling such...
Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Conditioner

Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Conditioner

Mixed reviews on this one… some of our testers love it, finding it leaves hair soft, shiny and healthy-looking.  For others, especially those with extremely dry or colour-damaged hair, they found it did not provide enough nourishment for their hair, though it did make it more manageable. Rich in argan oil, keratin and fatty acids we thought this conditioner would offer better results for badly damaged hair, so we were a little disappointed, however, this is a good conditioner for those with hair in good condition to maintain and help prevent breakage. When combined with the Moisture Repair Shampoo results are much better, though some users who are prone to greasy roots found they had to wash their hair more often as hair would appear greasier quicker. John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Lightening Conditioner

Whether you’re a natural blonde or have your hair coloured or highlighted we think you’ll like this conditioner. This is such a rich conditioner, which in itself is excellent for blonde hair – it’s very nourishing and has certainly improved hair strength and shine with continued use. Lightening-wise there is certainly a difference, even after the first couple of uses – brassiness is reduced and swimmers found it helped reduce the swimming pool effect.  By the time we got to the end of the tube, hair was definitely lighter, brighter, shinier and in much better condition. Wednesday’s Haircare

Was up late this morning so it really was a quick hair wash and out the door… Pantene’s Breakage Defence Shampoo – I’ve only just started using this (bargain from Wilkinson’s!), so I’ve yet to decide whether it’s good or not, I think it makes my hair greasier quicker though, so yet to be convinced. John Frieda’s Go Blonder Conditioner – this I’ve been using a while and I really like 🙂  A review to follow soon, I promise! Then it was blow-dry and a quick straighten with my beloved ghds! Pin...
