Christmas is coming…

One thing I love about October (and even a bit before), is the launch of all the Christmas goodies and gift sets! This is my first Christmas as an Arbonne consultant and the excitement around the launch of the festive range is huge amongst Independent Consultants and clients alike 🙂 This weekend I was able to sample the gift range and oh there is so much to share!  I’ve picked out some of my favourites that I’ll be sending this year… Joy & Wonder Hair & Body Set, £43 This is a lovely set for anyone who wants to take care of hair and body with simple easy-to-use products… if you know anyone who moans about the condition of their hair, or complains of dry skin in winter, this is the gift for them! Argan and Abyssinian oils, with ylang-ylang, gardenia and Australian sandalwood blend together to give us fantastic hydration and nourishment – the hair oil is a generous size and a little goes a very long way with the body butter, so this will last throughout the cold winter days! If your friend likes Moroccanoil products this is a great choice.   Sky for Men Gift Set, £46 The Sky for Men Cologne is a great scent and this season Arbonne have brought us a fabulous set for men in this fresh, clean fragrance. Suitable for all ages (who’ve started shaving!), the set includes a Shave Gel, After Shave Balm and Body Wash.  The Cologne is available separately at £41.   Heart of Gold Palette, £43 A gorgeous palette of shimmery baked eyeshadows… these blend beautifully and...
Nip+Fab Mango Smoothie Dry Skin Fix Body Butter

Nip+Fab Mango Smoothie Dry Skin Fix Body Butter

I always have a little nostalgic moment when I hear ‘Mango Body Butter’… it takes me back to early teenage years of the original super-greasy Body Shop body butters… But body butters seem to be having bit of a revival lately, and I have to say Nip+Fab’s Dry Skin Fix Body Butter didn’t get me in the mess I used to get 20 years ago! It’s soft, creamy and light and glides onto skin, absorbs really well too. Having quite dry skin I slathered it on and my skin drank it up, perhaps a little too quickly for my preference, but it gave a lovely soft sheen and wasn’t at all greasy. The scent – Mango Smoothie – was ok, it didn’t wow me, but mango isn’t one of my favourite fragrances anyway… this was softer, not too sweet and it only lingered lightly on the skin. It’s also available in Coconut Latte. Overall, would I buy it? Hmmm, not sure, but there’s an offer of 50% off over at Nip+Fab’s website as I write, so I am tempted! Available from Nip+Fab, we discovered it first through our GlossyBox subscription. Pin...
Malibu Sun Bronzing Butter SPF15

Malibu Sun Bronzing Butter SPF15

There’s something very appealing about a tub of sun protection rather than a squirty bottle! Perhaps it’s our slight obsession with body butters in general! The Bronzing Butter from Malibu Sun feels like a luxury product, it glides on to skin easily, making it quick to apply and it’s easy to see where you have and haven’t applied too as it glistens on the skin. We recommend this if you’re sunbathing as it’s too greasy for everyday use, unless you have particularly dry skin. It is water resistant, but not for long, so may want to choose an alternative product if you’re swimming. All in all a great product and excellent value (RRP: £4.99 for 250ml). The Body Shop Shea Body Butter

The Body Shop Shea Body Butter

A good choice for those with dry skin, The Body Shop’s Shea Body Butter is a rich, but not greasy, cream that absorbs very well into the skin. Those with very dry skin found they used a lot and the pot didn’t last as long as they hoped, but all testers found that it really did nourish skin, giving it a natural glow without sitting on the surface like some body butters do. Over time it keeps skin soft and well-moisturised and whilst it’s very easy to apply and good on the skin we were not wowed by it – there’s no real scent and it is a little boring! So we were torn… for £12.50 for 200ml it’s not a price we’d usually pay for an everyday staple, but perhaps we should! Available from The Body Shop Pin...
