Raisin Face Skin Fix Concentrate

It’s always so much fun to find out about not only a product you haven’t heard of but also a brand. We were introduced to Raisin Face by owner Tracy – her passion for the product is contagious and we got very excited when our pot of Skin Fix arrived! Packaging is simple and straightforward, but the careful balance of quality and effective ingredients really stands out. On first use we weren’t sure we were going to enjoy the product, but we soon learned we were putting far too much on!!  The cream is thick and rich – all you really need is a small amount, warmed slightly in the hand to ease application, for your whole face. The ingredients list starts with Aloe Vera, known for it’s soothing and moisturising qualities, and then Emu Oil… this is the first product we’d tried with Emu Oil, which helps other vitamins and nutrients to penetrate deep into the skin.  Raisin Face Skin Fix Concentrate has 18% Emu Oil – very high quantities compared to similar products.  In addition, the cream contains anti-aging ingredients, and shea butter, jojoba oil and green tea extract. After almost two weeks’ use, we have found such an improvement to skin tone and a noticeable ‘plumped’ look to skin… “Even better have been the comments of how nice skin looks and how healthy I look.” says Beauty Reviews editor Lisa. Even those with sensitive skin who usually steer clear of anti-aging creams have found benefits, this is a good anti-aging product to try if you usually break-out or suffer redness when using other creams (do try...

Argentum La Potion Infinie

WOW!  Yes, WOW! The results of this fabulous (but expensive) anti-aging cream are quite astonishing. Even after one application there is a noticeable difference in skin firmness and smoothness, after a few days even more so. Every tester saw a difference, regardless of how many wrinkles they had! This is a rich cream, with Silver Hydrosol & DNA HP – a patent-pending formula – which looks sent to impact the anti-aging product ranges currently available. Some with sensitive skins were cautious, using a little at a time – a little is plenty, it absorbs very well and evenly in to the skin.  It needs a little time to settle, but after a few moments skin looks fabulous. It acts wonderfully as a make-up primer too – after use foundation applied so much more evenly and gave a great canvas for fabulous make-up. The only criticism is of hydration – the descriptions promise excellent hydration, but many of us found this not to be true… the tightening effect did seem to take some moisture away, so we followed with a light moisturiser, using the Argentum as a treatment rather than a moisturiser. And at £147 for 70ml… justifiable? Maybe, just maybe… Available from www.argentumapothecary.com Pin...

Freeze 24/7 Anti-Wrinkle Cream

With all the hype around this product we were expecting spectacular results, unfortunately few of us felt the product lived up to the hype. A thick cream which does not absorb easily – you should pat it in to your skin rather than smooth it over, concentrating on wrinkles and fine lines. This is not a moisturiser so should not be used all over the face and you should follow with a moisturiser – you do have to wait a couple of minutes before applying your moisturiser. You should see instant results – few of us noticed any difference in our wrinkles and fine lines, even with continued use. Those of us that did felt it didn’t do enough for the price. On the plus side you need very little of the product per application and even though wrinkles may not have been filled out skin did appear more radiant and felt more protected.
