Olay Regenerist 3-point Treatment Cream

With Olay being one of the best-known and best-selling skincare brands, there’s little that can go wrong? Olay Regenerist 3-point Treatment Cream is part of their anti-aging range, said to treat the hardest areas of the face – eyes, jawline and neck – lots of us gave it a try but with mixed and disappointing results. Though it’s said to be good to target eyes, all our testers found the cream to rich for the eye area, preferring instead an eye cream or gel. Some of our testers found the cream too rich in general, especially those with sensitive skin – seeing the Fragrance Free label they’d hoped for something good, but unfortunately they found it caused breakouts and redness (in one case soreness) so stopped using it. For some the cream was good, but they found it gave few results worthy of a cream costing around £30.  While those that found it helped smooth some fine lines and improved skin tone in that it appeared that skin was firmer and less saggy, overall our ladies were not terribly impressed 🙁 Instead take a look at Olay’s Classic Care or Total Effects range, Avon’s Anew range or Arbonne’s RE9 range. Christmas is coming…

One thing I love about October (and even a bit before), is the launch of all the Christmas goodies and gift sets! This is my first Christmas as an Arbonne consultant and the excitement around the launch of the festive range is huge amongst Independent Consultants and clients alike 🙂 This weekend I was able to sample the gift range and oh there is so much to share!  I’ve picked out some of my favourites that I’ll be sending this year… Joy & Wonder Hair & Body Set, £43 This is a lovely set for anyone who wants to take care of hair and body with simple easy-to-use products… if you know anyone who moans about the condition of their hair, or complains of dry skin in winter, this is the gift for them! Argan and Abyssinian oils, with ylang-ylang, gardenia and Australian sandalwood blend together to give us fantastic hydration and nourishment – the hair oil is a generous size and a little goes a very long way with the body butter, so this will last throughout the cold winter days! If your friend likes Moroccanoil products this is a great choice.   Sky for Men Gift Set, £46 The Sky for Men Cologne is a great scent and this season Arbonne have brought us a fabulous set for men in this fresh, clean fragrance. Suitable for all ages (who’ve started shaving!), the set includes a Shave Gel, After Shave Balm and Body Wash.  The Cologne is available separately at £41.   Heart of Gold Palette, £43 A gorgeous palette of shimmery baked eyeshadows… these blend beautifully and...

Holiday Time! Packing Frenzy!

Off on my hols in a couple of days… two weeks this time, which means a lot of considered packing! My first thoughts are what’s going in my make-up bag… so what have I got?! First and foremost it’s travel sizes wherever possible – hoping that the travel sizes are generous to enough to not consider taking two of everything or ditching them entirely for full sizes… Having recently become an Arbonne consultant, I was delighted to find a travel set of their RE9 skincare range, I was even more delighted when it arrived to see how much they managed to cram in to the cute little gold bag 🙂 It’s got pretty much everything: Smoothing Facial Cleanser 30ml Regenerating Toner 18ml Corrective Eye Creme 5ml Intensive Renewal Serum 8ml Restorative Day Creme SPF20 8ml Extra Moisture Restorative Day Creme SPF20 8ml Night Repair Creme 7ml Age-Defying Neck Cream 14ml Instant Lift Gel 8ml Nourishing Body Wash 60ml Firming Body Creme 58ml Pretty good, huh?!  This set was £37 with a £90 spend, so you do have to order a bit to get such a great set, but if you’re using Arbonne products already this is definitely a set to go for. So skincare and a bit of bodycare is sorted… make-up next! Still some Arbonne for Tinted Moisturiser, Concealer and Mineral Powder Foundation – great bases that all work together.  I will probably take my Makeup Primer too, but all these are full sizes, so that may have to stay behind (ok, it won’t, I’ll find space in a shoe or something!). Eyeshadow-wise it’ll be my Smashbox Smokebox...
Rodial Bee Venom Moisturiser

Rodial Bee Venom Moisturiser

Now we all know Rodial’s products come with a hefty price tag and sit at the most luxury end of the market, but would this £150-a-jar moisturiser really give the right results? This moisturiser is from Rodial’s Bee Venom range, primarily aimed at women aged 50-59 with skin suffering from the effects of the menopause. And yes, this moisturiser really does give the right results! After just one use all testers found a significant improvement in skin tone and texture, many noticed a plumped and less slack feel to skin too. While  aimed at women aged 50+, women of younger ages suffering from hormonal imbalance after pregnancy, or during times of stress and illness, also found visible results from using this. Rodial’s Bee Venom Moisturiser offers a real confidence boost in a jar at what can be a stressful time for most women. The only downside is the price – but look out for offers from Rodial. ibeba Mega Bright DNA Repair Cream

ibeba Mega Bright DNA Repair Cream

Having enjoyed the DNA Repair Cell Serum from ibeba, with great results, we were keen to start using the Mega Bright cream. We weren’t disappointed! Mega Bright DNA Repair Cream is aimed at those looking to balance their skin tone, especially those with dark spots or pigmentation, to give improved luminosity to the complexion. The cream is light and silky, smells lovely, and absorbs very well – it can be used as a treatment under your moisturiser, or as a light moisturiser itself. Within days all our testers found improved skin tone – skin was less blotchy, red patches were reduced and skin was left feeling soft and supple.  After a couple of weeks the results were even more noticeable. One of our testers has sun spots, and while she did not necessarily notice any fading, the results of her skin being balanced and looking healthier made her sun spots less obvious. If skin tone is a concern, this is a great product to add into your skincare routine – it does not interfere with existing products you’re using, but you will see results.  For those with oily, or even normal skin, this cream is great as a moisturiser too. For extra skin renewal results use with the ibeba DNA Repair Cell Serum. Available from ibeba Pin...
