Those were my thoughts when Arbonne released the Booster Serum in their Intelligence Genius range – but I couldn’t resist trying it!
It’s a little 30ml bottle, so quite pricey for the amount you receive (£44 at full price), but you only need a squirt to mix with your everyday body lotion or cream. You can also use it on its own, but I found my dry skin drank it in far too quickly, so mixing it was best for me.
The first thing to strike me was the gorgeous shimmer it gives to the skin… I love shimmer and I think this is worth it just for that – it means a night out doesn’t have to mean stepping away from your favourite body lotion – a squirt of this into your hand to mix with any lotion gives you a fabulous shimmer product.
The Booster Serum is designed to boost the benefits of your Arbonne body lotions, it will also help boost other brands’ lotions too. Does it do that? Well, for me the jury is out on this one, I did notice a difference, but generally I was more dazzled by the sparkle it gives!
I used it mainly with Arbonne’s Shea Butter Body Lotion (currently my favourite lotion for very dry skin, especially legs – I must review this for you soon!) – I used a squirt of serum for each squirt of body lotion and used it all over my body, but most importantly on my bump during pregnancy…
I was considering switching to Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula for my baby bump, but I already had the Arbonne Shea Butter Lotion – I started to use it, then added the Booster Serum and really didn’t want to change anything, especially as my bump was shimmering away for the rest of my pregnancy! The result – I have NO stretch marks!! Whether this is simply down to the lotion alone, or whether the serum was really to thank I couldn’t say, but the combination certainly worked for me
I used one and a half bottles for almost 4 months during my pregnancy, using it at least once a day, sometimes twice a day.
I will continue to purchase the serum, but for me I purchase this as a shimmer product to give me some sparkle without changing my body lotions, rather than an everyday body treatment.
