Penhaligon’s to launch new fragrance
Oooh, Penhaligon’s are teasing us again, this time with a new women’s fragrance ‘Amaranthine’…

Penhaligon’s describe it as “a corrupted floral oriental for those private moments when everything is anticipation. It opens with a dramatic flourish of spices and tropical green. This unsettling lick of drama is beautifully ambushed by an unctuous accord of jasmine and ylang-ylang, a heady bloom known for its aphrodisiac properties and clove swathed in spices, tea, musk and the rounded beauty of tonka bean absolute”.

Kylie Minogue Darling Eau de Toilette
We loved the shimmery pink on the box and bottle and when combined with Kylie’s name and the fragrance name ‘Darling’ this immediately had a girly, feminine feel to it. The bottle is simple and chic and will suit any girl’s dressing table.
On first spray, the fragrance is strong and heady – we weren’t sure of it at first – but as the fragrance developed it became a light, sweet and fruity floral scent. The sharp, strong top notes do not last long (which pleased us!), then the mid-notes which are all delicate florals with a touch of oriental develop – these linger and waft for most of the day. Later you get the scent of vanilla and slightly spicier base notes.
Overall we felt this a great clean floral fragrance for daytime and romantic evenings… perhaps not strong enough as an evening fragrance.

L’Occitane Eau des 4 Reines Eau de Toilette
Eau des 4 Reines is a true rose scent – not sweet and sickly like many rose fragrances, but as close as you can get to a bouquet of tea roses or the scent of a rose garden.
If you love rose fragrances this is an absolute must for you – a classic scent which will suit all ages, as a true natural scent it’s not just a scent for Grandma!
The packaging is lovely too – wonderfully boxed and looks great on any dressing table.
