Pre-moistened wipes are becoming so popular, but we often need convincing that they’ll do just as good a job as our cleansers and facial washes.
From these wipes we were looking for great cleansing and gentle exfoliation… initially we thought the wipes would be too astringent as it took a couple of days for skin to balance when using them, skin was oily initially, but after 2-3 days skin really started to glow and look fresh and healthy.
After a week there was a big difference, spots and blemishes were disappearing, blackheads hugely reduced and skin looked clearer and more radiant.

It seems to be so hard to find a good eye make-up remover – we kept seeing Nivea’s Extra Gentle remover in the supermarkets, so decided to give it a try.
As a budget remover we feel this is not too bad, but we did have a couple of niggles – despite being ‘extra gentle’ and suitable for contact lens wearers, it did sting the eyes a little which made it uncomfortable to use. It also wasn’t particularly refreshing, which (rightly or wrongly) we feel an eye make-up remover should do.
As far as removing make-up goes, it is very good, though…

I have tried this product over the last couple of days, used first in the morning after cleansing. I was pleased to say that this was not a greasy product so it didn’t interfere with my makeup routine and sat under my foundation nicely. It was slightly tingly when applying but nothing that made me feel uncomfortable. My eyes felt much fresher after applying and seemed to look less baggy.
After applying at night time I didn’t see much improvement at morning time but then im allays a bit puffy in the morning.
Definitely worth a go though to use in the…

A lovely book arrived today – The Holistic Beauty Book.
Books are so difficult to review, especially beauty books, but this one is a hit with us already. What we really like about it is that you can pick it up, flick through and start anywhere – it’s easy to dip into, yet just as easy to read from the start.
There’s no beating around the bush – author Star Khechara gets straight to the point with everything she has to say and writes clearly and simply. After a couple of quick, easy-to-read chapters on the holistic lifestyle you’re practically converted!
But the…

While we’re used to cleansing creams, lotions and gels, a cleansing oil was something new to us… there are many available, but we’d never taken the plunge and given one a try.
The Nude skincare range is smart and sleek – the packaging looks great in any bathroom cabinet – so would the product inside do the job?
We were pleasantly surprised, not only by the scent of the product which is rich and indulgent, but also by the results…
Intended for normal to dry skins, we also tested on combination skin – all our testers loved this – most reported improved skintone…

We tried the DayWear Plus for Normal/Combination skin…
The texture is very light and silky, it glides on to the skin and absorbs well. Despite the lightness it feels very protective and comfortable on the skin and it provides much hydration without making oily skins even oilier.
Even from the first day of use skin looks smoother and over several days and weeks skin tone is much improved, looking smoother, firmer and younger.
With an SPF15 this is ideal for everyday, but you can also use it in the evening – it is ideal if your skin finds night creams too rich.
It lasts…

We were a little unsure when we first opened this – would a roll-on product really be gentle enough around the eye area? Well, don’t worry – it is! In fact it’s so soothing it’s rather addictive!
Formulated to hydrate and refresh tired eyes, the roll-on certainly does that. After a couple of weeks of testing this out we have certainly found it to moisturise well (although if you’re looking for something to combat lines and wrinkles this may not be enough for you) and it definitely perks up tired eyes – we were using it through the day, not just…

Toners are one of those products that you might wonder why you bother with and it’s not really the type of product we usually get excited about!
This toner surprised us – it really does remove those last traces of cleanser, not to mention the make-up (or muck?!) that the cleanser didn’t get! It perhaps highlights the need for us to change cleansers!!
With witch hazel, known for it’s astringent properties, it is also soothing and refreshing. When we first smelled the witch hazel we worried it would be drying, but it isn’t at all.
If you have the feeling that your skin isn’t…

A L’Occitane product which is often overlooked, but we love it!
If the pure shea butter is too much for you then try this – it contains shea butter, but it feels much lighter on the lips. It glides on and lips feel instantly moisturised and protected. Despite gliding on it doesn’t glide off, it isn’t sticky and you can easily apply lipstick or gloss over the top.
At £6.50 we think this is excellent value – it may seem a little pricey to some of you for a lip balm, but the results are brilliant – lip colour and texture improves…
