L’Occitane Lip Balm
A L’Occitane product which is often overlooked, but we love it!
If the pure shea butter is too much for you then try this – it contains shea butter, but it feels much lighter on the lips. It glides on and lips feel instantly moisturised and protected. Despite gliding on it doesn’t glide off, it isn’t sticky and you can easily apply lipstick or gloss over the top.
At £6.50 we think this is excellent value – it may seem a little pricey to some of you for a lip balm, but the results are brilliant – lip colour and texture improves no end and it’s worth chucking your 99p chapstick for!

Clairol Nice’n Easy Non-Permanent
Nice’n Easy truly is an easy product to use. It’s as simple as popping on some gloves, pouring one liquid into another, giving it a shake and then applying it!
We tried the non-permanent version which, the packaging claims, lasts up to 24 washes. We estimated 12-15 washes, so that was a disappointment, but the non-permanent does allow you to experiment or even out hair colour without worrying about growing out the colour.
A strand test is recommended, but some of us just went for it! It’s easy to apply and plenty of mixture even for long hair. Gloves are provided and we recommend using them, but the mixture washes off skin quite well, so no worries there – do be careful of getting the mixture on clothes though.
You must rinse your hair well afterwards, but it’s easy to tell – you need the water to be running clear.
A rich conditioner is provided – do use it! Not only does it nourish hair after colouring, but it keep colour looking good and hair looking shiny.
Colour, if you choose the right shade for your skin tone, looks very natural, not at all flat like some hair colourants.
All in all, from application to rinsing and styling, allow approx 45 minutes, or a bit longer if you’re new to colouring.
Arbonne Intelligence Not-So-Basic(s) Daily Cleanser
The Arbonne Daily Cleanser is a foaming cleansing wash for use morning and night.
Add a little water to give a gentle creamy foam – it feels light and smooth on the face and cleanses very well without harsh stripping of the skin. Skin feels soft and smooth afterwards, but do follow with a moisturiser as it did leave skin feeling a little taut and on the dry side.
What impressed us most of all was the reduction in blackheads after just a couple of days’ use – a completely unexpected result, but a great one!!
A good all-round cleanser for all ages which has true benefits, especially for teenage skin.
Price: £13 for 127ml tube.

Too Faced New Romantic Peacock Palette
When we opened the parcel containing the Too Faced palettes we were so excited! The packaging of all their products is just gorgeous!!
The New Romantic Peacock Palette is a fabulous pink with a black peacock silhouette design… inside you’ll find lovely pinks and minky browns.
There are three eyeshadows: a shimmery mocha, a raspberry pink and a shimmery mink. I liked them all, but the most wearable, for day and night, is the mink. The raspberry pink is a bit daring on the eyes – be careful not to look like you’ve gone ten rounds with Ricky Hatton! As a blush it’s really good though!! The shadows are easy to apply and blend, they feel very light and silky on the skin.
Alongside the three eyeshadows are three lip glosses – I wear them all. There’s a raspberry pink, a neutral beige shimmer and a pale shimmer gloss. The raspberry pink is very versatile – you can wear it sheer or build it up for a wow-factor. The other two are lovely for daily wear.
And finally there’s a bronzey blush – if you’re very pale watch out, it can look a bit dirty if you put too much one, so build it up gradually.
Overall I was very, very pleased with this – it has become my main daily make-up and I will use all the shades (though maybe not much of the raspberry shadow), which is rare for me with a palette as I often find I don’t use half the shades.
The packaging makes this ideal for a gift… I’m sure most girls will be delighted to receive it!
