Me Me Me Nail Collection Long Lasting Gloss

Being big fans of OPI and Nails Inc, it would take a lot to switch us to another brand – after our disappointment with Me Me Me’s FatCat Mascara, will their Nail Gloss win us over? We have shade ‘Innocent’ – a pretty pale ivory which will be lovely for brides or bridesmaids, but equally as wonderful as a base with a sparkly topcoat for the festive season. The brush is lovely, very dense and doesn’t streak the colour – the application is easily controlled and even.  In this shade one coat gives a nice sheer gloss, two coats a denser shade… we didn’t need three coast. Pretty long-lasting too, almost a week with very slight chips, certainly nothing to worry about. And although ours was part of our GlossyBox back in the summer, price-wise they certainly win us over – only £5! All-in-all a very good buy, and worthy of stocking-filler status 🙂 Available from: Me Me Me Cosmetics Superdrug Pin...
OPI Shatter

OPI Shatter

We do love our nail art and the Shatter collection from OPI is great for quick and easy stunning effects! Simply paint an even coat of Shatter over your completely dry nail polish – don’t touch it or do a re-coat, just let it dry.  Cracks will start to appear to allow your base nail colour to show through.  It gives a fabulous effect… they call it shatter, but some of our testers found it gave almost a snakeskin or animal print effect depending on the colours used. Available in 9 shades, we tried Black Shatter, which dries to a matt finish, so we added a glossy top coat for a more glam look. If you love your manicures and like something different then this is definitely for you! Available from: Lena White Pin...

Barry M Nail Paint in Bright Pink

I have to admit, i am a huge fan of Barry M products, so when i wanted a nice summery pink colour, their nail varnishes were the first ones i went to. The bright pink nail varnish is exactly as its name says – bright pink. At only £2.89, i decided it was a bargain and bought it there and then. I got home and excitedly started painting my nails. The first thing i notice, as with all of their nail paints that i have tried so far (which has to be about 10-15 of them), the colour goes on nicely, and even with only one coat it is quite bright. I left it to dry and within 5-10 minutes it was completely dry. I put on another coat, and after that dried, i was done. The colour stayed on without chipping for a good few days, and remained looking bright and funky. Unfortunately, I’m not allowed to wear nail varnish for school, so after having it on for the last week or so of the holidays, i went to remove it. This is where a small problem occurred. The nail varnish came off my nails relatively easily, however it did leave a pink stain (i have noticed this in a few of the nail varnishes – particularly the bright yellow). This was my own fault, admittedly. It does clearly state on the back of the bottle that it is necessary to apply a basecoat before use, to stop things like this happening. Overall, as long as you apply a basecoat (Barry M also does a 3 in one...
