PurelyArgan Hair Conditioner

PurelyArgan Hair Conditioner

Argan oil is an extremely popular ingredient for hair care at the moment, with many brands concentrating on specific ranges to include it. PurelyArgan concentrate on the oil itself, offering 2 products – the oil and a hair conditioner – at first we wondered what would be different with PurelyArgan compared to the other popular products, especially the heavily-marketed Moroccanoil. We were in for a treat 🙂 We’ve been very impressed with PurelyArgan’s conditioner – a rich yet lightweight consistency that is easily absorbed onto the hair without any stickiness. Admittedly it does have an odd scent – sort of soapy, and if we were choosing just on scent the Moroccanoil is slightly more favourable.  But scent wears off – it’s not *that* important against all the other necessities of a conditioner! What we liked best of all about PurelyArgan was the ease with with hair could be styled and how it held its style.  We also found that we weren’t washing our hair as often, we could get away with an extra day if we needed to – this is in complete contrast to the Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Conditioner which had most of us washing our hair more often. Flyaway hair wasn’t weighed down at all, in fact it seemed much more under control – hair was still flyaway, perhaps a bit fluffy, but hair looked shinier, healthier and more natural. After just one application, styling and a healthy look were obvious.  After a couple of weeks hair appears to be stronger with less breakage, even on hair that is subject to a lot of heat styling such...

John Frieda Full Repair Perfect Ends Deep Infusion

Another fabulous product from the John Frieda Full Repair range… yes, really! This liquid treatment leaves hair looking great, we used it as a treatment on towel-dried hair before blow-drying and straightening.  It leaves damaged hair looking healthy and reduces the look of split ends really well – remember nothing can truly fix split ends, but a good treatment with Perfect Ends really tidies up your style! The ‘deep infusion’ contains rich and nourishing Inca Inchi oil… it’s non-greasy and is similar to the ingredients used in Ojon and Morocconoil products. The best thing is the good value that John Frieda offers – the Full Repair range is very affordable, and if there’s just one product from the range to try we’d recommend this one. John Frieda Full Repair Full Body Shampoo

John Frieda Full Repair Full Body Shampoo

If your hair is struggling from over-styling and colouring, or the condition is just generally poor, then John Frieda’s new Full Repair range is definitely worth a try. We’ve been trialling the Full Body Shampoo for about 10 days now and we’re seeing some really noticeable improvements. It lathers up well and cleanses in just one wash, no need for a second wash, and it doesn’t dry the hair out at all. Once dry, hair is left soft, smoother and more manageable and easy to style, and even improved scalp condition. Excellent value and great results! Available from: Boots Superdrug Pin...
Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Conditioner

Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Conditioner

Mixed reviews on this one… some of our testers love it, finding it leaves hair soft, shiny and healthy-looking.  For others, especially those with extremely dry or colour-damaged hair, they found it did not provide enough nourishment for their hair, though it did make it more manageable. Rich in argan oil, keratin and fatty acids we thought this conditioner would offer better results for badly damaged hair, so we were a little disappointed, however, this is a good conditioner for those with hair in good condition to maintain and help prevent breakage. When combined with the Moisture Repair Shampoo results are much better, though some users who are prone to greasy roots found they had to wash their hair more often as hair would appear greasier quicker.
