Off on my hols in a couple of days… two weeks this time, which means a lot of considered packing!
My first thoughts are what’s going in my make-up bag… so what have I got?!
First and foremost it’s travel sizes wherever possible – hoping that the travel sizes are generous to enough to not consider taking two of everything or ditching them entirely for full sizes…
Having recently become an Arbonne consultant, I was delighted to find a travel set of their RE9 skincare range, I was even more delighted when it arrived to see how much they managed to cram in to the cute little gold bag 🙂
It’s got pretty much everything:
Smoothing Facial Cleanser 30ml
Regenerating Toner 18ml
Corrective Eye Creme 5ml
Intensive Renewal Serum 8ml
Restorative Day Creme SPF20 8ml
Extra Moisture Restorative Day Creme SPF20 8ml
Night Repair Creme 7ml
Age-Defying Neck Cream 14ml
Instant Lift Gel 8ml
Nourishing Body Wash 60ml
Firming Body Creme 58ml
Pretty good, huh?! This set was £37 with a £90 spend, so you do have to order a bit to get such a great set, but if you’re using Arbonne products already this is definitely a set to go for.
So skincare and a bit of bodycare is sorted… make-up next!
Still some Arbonne for Tinted Moisturiser, Concealer and Mineral Powder Foundation – great bases that all work together. I will probably take my Makeup Primer too, but all these are full sizes, so that may have to stay behind (ok, it won’t, I’ll find space in a shoe or something!).
Eyeshadow-wise it’ll be my Smashbox Smokebox Palette (£32) – the shades work well for me and take me easily from day to night… shades such as Alabaster and Seafoam work perfectly in the day, and Thunder is my absolute favourite – softly used for daytime and layered on for night.
The double-ended brush that comes with the Smokebox is ok, but I do have some favourite brushes (a mix of Smashbox and Avon) that’ll be packed too 🙂
Mascaras will be the new Givenchy Noir Couture – I got a little sample, perfect for travel, in one of my Glossybox subscriptions – and the Arbonne Triple Action Mascara, this gives a great finish for day and layers up well without flaking for evening. I’m torn between my Arbonne Eyeliner and my ybf liner… both it is!
Lip-wise… hmmmm, so many to choose from being a gloss-aholic! Definitely my Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush in Cranberry, my Avon Glazewear in Pink Darling (an old shade), Clinique Long Lasting Glosswear in Clearly Pink, Arbonne Lipstick in Vintage Rose and Arbonne Lip Polish in Posh…. ohhhhh, that’s a lot of lippy for one trip?! *adds Bourjois Rose Arctic Lip Gloss to the list*
That should do it makeup-wise…. oh, no, I forgot my Benefit Hoola and Moonbeam!
Haircare I don’t usually get too fussed about, but this time I’m packing travel sizes of Arbonne’s FC5 Nourishing Daily Shampoo and Conditioner as I must give them a try. John Frieda’s Perfect Ends Deep Infusion will be in the bag, plus their Go Blonder Lightening Spray (does wonders on roots!). And most importantly, ghd hair straighteners… I don’t go anywhere without them!
Bodycare is a little trickier, I’m so fickle when it comes to shower gels and lotions, but my favourites at the moment are Molton Brown’s Paradisiac Pink Pepperpod, Arbonne’s Seasource Detoxifying Body Wash & Body Gelee and anything that happens to be in my hotel and cabin when I arrive!
We do so much walking on holiday that I have to consider my (awful) feet! This time I’ll be trying out Arbonne’s Cooling Foot Creme, but more importantly my feet will be happily trotting around in Fitflop’s Sneakers and Ballerinas – well all that walking may as well sort out my legs, right?!
I’ve had many pairs of FitFlop sandals and ballerinas, there is such a noticeable difference in the tone of my legs and bum when I have been wearing them. This is the first time I’ve chosen their sneakers, so we’ll see how they compare, but I have a good feeling about them – they’re so comfy 🙂
What have I forgotten? Oh yeah…. clothes 😉
